Katelyn Elizabeth

Before The BS Way of Farm Life was a business, it was an idea shared between a mother and daughter.

Katelyn and I talked about making things together. Creating things. Trying new ideas. Maybe selling some of them, maybe not. We weren't building a business plan—we were dreaming about something we could do together, have fun with, and see where it took us.

On April 11, 2026, I lost my daughter.

But I didn't lose those conversations.

As I tried to figure out how to keep moving forward without her, I kept coming back to the things we'd talked about doing together. Little by little, those ideas grew. What began as something Katelyn and I dreamed about became The BS Way of Farm Life.

That's why Katelyn will always be part of this place.

She isn't part of BS Way simply because we lost her.

She's part of it because she was here when it began.

I Gotchu.

If you knew Katelyn, you knew what “I Gotchu” meant.

It wasn't a slogan. It wasn't something we created after she died. It was something she lived.

When someone she cared about needed her, Katelyn showed up. Sometimes that meant listening. Sometimes helping. Sometimes standing beside someone when life was ugly. Sometimes it was simply making sure another person knew they weren't facing something alone.

Her way of saying it was simple:

I Gotchu.

Those two words have become part of what we want The BS Way of Farm Life to carry forward.

As this little dream grows, we want to use it to help people when we can—in ways both big and small. Sometimes that may mean supporting a family going through hell. Sometimes it may be a meal, a fundraiser, a helping hand, or simply creating a place where somebody feels welcome and knows they matter.

We don't know exactly what I Gotchu will become yet.

And that's okay.

Because it isn't supposed to be a program built around rules or recognition. It's supposed to be what it always was with Katelyn:

See someone who needs you. Show up. Help however you can.

She said it. She lived it. We carry it forward.
I GOTCHU.
